There is still time to nominate yourself or a colleague for the Howdens’ Scottish Empty Homes Awards.   

This year the categories are:

Outstanding project – an innovative empty property project that has been brought back into use for housing

Outstanding service – a service that has engaged in activity to bring private empty homes back into use with commitment to sharing learnings and best practice  

Outstanding individual -This award is for an individual who has gone above and beyond the day job to promote and champion empty homes work in Scotland

Best use of the Media -   The Howdens’ Scottish Empty Homes Champion of the Year Award for this category will be given to an organization, group or individual, who over the past year has, in the view of the judging panel, best used the media to further their objectives to bring private sector empty homes back into use.

Best Before & After Photo - This can be a single before and after photo or a series of photos

 

Nominations will be accepted from the 11th September until midnight on the 6th October.

Information to be included:

  • The name of person/organisation/group you are nominating (this can include yourself or your own organisation),which category you would like the nomination to be considered under
  • The nature of the contribution to private sector empty homes work
  • any other supporting information you wish to provide [for the use of media category this should include copies of the news story or descriptions of media coverage (i.e. TV/Radio) achieved; for best before and after photo we require photos in jpeg format)
