BIDS
Business Improvement Districts Scotland (BIDS) is actively involved in encouraging the regeneration and effective asset management of Scotland’s towns.
BIDS leads the Scottish Government's programme which encourages the development of BIDs. Each BID is a precisely-defined geographical area of a town where businesses have voted to invest collectively in local improvements in addition to those delivered by statutory authorities. The Scottish Government is currently supporting the development of BIDS across Scotland and in addition to central support is offering a development grant of up to £20K to assist business groups or local authorities to develop a Business Improvement District.
