Applications for 'Scotland's Most Improved Place' close on Monday 18 September 2017.
There is still time for your city-district, town, neighbourhood, or community to apply for the 'Most Improved Place' category at this year's SURF Awards.
The awards offer an opportunity for regeneration projects of all sizes to demonstrate value to funders and partners, support team-building and develop national profile. SURF Award winners also receive additional showcase opportunities through SURF activities throughout the following year. Apply here.
Importantly, plans or projects for your place do not need to be completed in order to apply for this award - SURF also wants to know about the journey that is being undertaken to create positive change in your community.
Supported by Scotland's Towns Partnership, this award category has a broad understanding of 'place' - this could be a whole town, city district or rural commmunity, or a smaller area / neighbourhood within this. The category also allows you to highlight specific elements of your place where positive change has occurred.
SURF’s annual awards process is delivered in partnership with the Scottish Government. It is open to all community regeneration projects in Scotland that are currently in place or that have been completed within two years of the closing date.
More information on the awards and the application form for download can be found here.
Applications are due by 5pm, Monday 18th September 2017.
