Scottish Business in the Community’s Business Connector programme and Hub network supports town centre regeneration.

Business Connectors are skilled and talented individuals seconded from a range of corporate organisations to work in areas of town centre regeneration.

The Business Connector and Hub programme is set to roll out in four areas: the Scottish Borders, Angus, East Ayrshire, and South Lanarkshire.

The role of the Business Connector is to spend time with local contacts to better understand the issues affecting their community and to encourage greater collaboration between private, public and third sector organisations. This essential link between business and local community organisations drives ideas and action from business to target help where it is most needed.

SBC’s Hub network provides an access point for the Business Connector to seek skilled support from SBC member businesses of all sizes and from different sectors, including many of the large corporates. The network is growing in size and we aim to have a Hub in each area of Business Connector activity.

For Hub member companies it’s a chance to increase their connections and work together on their responsible business journeys using their skills and experience for the benefit of the local community.
