The Great British High Street Competition 2015 is now open so make sure you get your entries in!  Following the huge success of the 2014 Awards, we are once again looking for the nation’s best high streets.

We saw amazing examples of local people coming together to support their high streets and were bowled over by the passion and commitment shown by the entrants, including from Broxburn and Uphall in West Lothian who won Best Village.  This year we are also asking local people to help us in our search by getting them to vote for the winners in the new shortlisting stage, where the 21 shortlisted finalists will have the chance to campaign for their high street to win.

There are 7 different categories and we want town teams, coastal teams, business improvement districts (BIDs), traders’ associations and retailers to get involved and shine the spotlight on why their village, town centre or coastal centre deserves to win. There is a cash prize up for grabs as well as a package of support from our partners, including mentoring, training and workshops.

Application deadline is 17 July. For more information, please visit the Great British High Street website and follow us @TheGBHighSt.
