Scotland's Towns Partnership invites you to the second meeting of Session Six of the Cross Party Group on Towns and Town Centres. The meeting will focus on the topic of ‘Community Wealth Building and Towns’.

Community Wealth Building (CWB) is a people-centred approach to local economic development, which redirects wealth back into the local economy, and places control and benefits into the hands of local people. The five core principles include: Progressive Procurement, Fair Employment and Just Labour Markets, Shared Ownership, Socially Just Use of Land and Property and Making Finance Power Work for Local Places.

With CWB legislation about to be developed by the Scottish Parliament, join speakers from Democracy Collaborative and Scottish pilot projects in North Ayrshire and Clackmannanshire to find out more about what CWB means for towns and town centres.
