How can housing create stronger communities and great neighbourhoods? With contributions from representatives of private and public housing, healthcare and academia we invite you to hear their views and join the discussion at this lively and topical event.

Set against a context where place-making policies are being strongly promoted in order to deliver better outcomes for people. And at a time when policy agendas are uniting around ‘place’ to ensure communities are empowered and engaged in the making of their places. How can housing provide more than merely unit numbers?

This is about a people-centred approach that links health and social sustainability benefits with the benefits of added value and marketability. It aims to stimulate thinking about conventional ‘market and deliverability’ approaches to housing and to reflect on the housing sector’s greater longer term role in ensuring the creation of great places for people.

Chaired and introduced by Andrew Burrell, The Burrell Company and A&DS board member.
