When you enter your telephone number or postcode, you are told the very latest situation affecting the green cabinet which serves your line. If your cabinet is not yet upgraded to fibre, you can now see exactly what stage it is at in the process at a glance.
The new ‘cab tracker’ on the interactive map shows, for example, whether your cabinet falls within the planned scope of the project; whether engineering work is underway, whether solutions are still being explored or of course whether the cabinet is already live and accepting orders. So you can follow the ‘fibre journey’ for your own line right through the various stages as plans progress. This additional insight is helping homes and businesses better understand the overall process as well as helping them plan when to place their own order for fibre broadband.
