Architecture and Design Scotland is a government-funded agency that aims to help people – whether by getting them more involved in shaping the places they live in or improving the design of the buildings they use.
Ann Allen, Chair of A&DS, said “I am delighted to be joined by four new board members. I look forward to working with them to shape Scotland’s built environment. Our new board members each represent different aspects of the built environment or relevant professional expertise. About the new Board Members:
Angela Bonney has over ten years’ experience in communications and currently manages public relations and communications for RICS in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Daisy Narayanan is Deputy Director for SUSTRANS Scotland and since April 2018, she has been on secondment to City of Edinburgh Council, appointed to lead the City Centre transformation programmes.
Bruce Ross is a practising architect with experience of living, working, learning and teaching in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and, more recently, the highlands. He is a principal architect at an award-winning local authority design consultancy and has extensive experience in community and stakeholder engagement.
Alistair Scott is a practising Architect with experience ranging from individual buildings to large scale urban regeneration projects and a founder of Edinburgh based Architects Smith Scott Mullan Associates.
The A&DS Board ensures that the A&DS’s strategy and business plan continue to support and promote the value of good architecture and sustainable design add to everyone’s lives. This appointment will be for up to 4 years in the first instance and the appointments are formally effective from 15 April 2019.
