Small firms in the UK now total over 5 million. So with an ever increasing number of entrepreneurs, sole traders and freelancers now running their own business there’s an even greater need to ensure their voices are heard at the highest levels in government – that’s what the Federation of Small Businesses is all about.

For over 40 years we have built a fantastic reputation gathering together small business owners, political leaders, senior influencers and key topical speakers at our national conferences to discuss the key issues of the day.

Speaking at last year’s event in Birmingham, our Policy Director, Mike Cherry said: “When we all pull together; when we all work out exactly what we stand for and what we need; and when everyone of us ‘does Policy’ – that’s when we achieve the most for members’ and that is the aim of the FSB conference. One FSB, one team, one focus.”

Last year we had a fantastic line up of political and key note speakers such as Chancellor George Osborne, MPs Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg, PY Gerbeau, Kris Akabusi and more. And this year promises to have an equally heavyweight line-up.

So if you’re running a business, or even just thinking about starting one, make sure you visit the 2016 conference in Glasgow. There’s a wealth of information and support available from pensions advice to payment terminals, telecoms packages to transits vans, seminars, workshop and networking plus keynote speeches from some of the country’s top business leaders and politicians.
