Scotland’s Towns Partnership is seeking a 2020 host for the recognised and well established national conference for Scotland’s towns.
The conference is held annually in November and is the flagship event during Scotland’s Towns Week. The event attracts around 150 delegates, 20 exhibitors and generates interest, spend and media coverage for the host location. Each year the conference is held in a different location – this might be a town, small city or large city district.
Principally to showcase the location or to launch a campaign or project. There is an opportunity to lead a walking tour of your location and give a key presentation or lead a workshop. Partners gain from a professionally managed PR campaign, which attracts broadcast and quality print media, as well as having a digital/social media footprint.

If you would like to bid to host the 2020 Scotland’s Towns Conference, please send no more than a one-pager outlining in brief why your place and organisation would be an ideal host. Please include in this, a practical proposition of venue capability with regards to the criteria cited in the accompanying document. A decision will be taken swiftly by our conference committee which comprises a cross section of our Board and Executive team. We may opt to visit the location and venue to assist in the final decision. The aim will be to agree and announce the host location by the end of February.
