Keep Scotland Beautiful is recruiting for an Education and Learning Coordinator who will play a key role to ensure the continued management, development and expansion of the charity’s education and learning initiatives.

Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) is the charity that campaigns, acts and educates on a range of local, national and global environmental issues to change behaviour and improve the quality of people’s lives and the places they care for. KSB is the leading provider of sustainable development education initiatives in schools, encouraging action and behaviour change by young people which will leave an enduring legacy for Scotland; it is part of our work to help make Scotland clean, green and more sustainable.

KSB is seeking an Education & Learning Coordinator (ELC) to manage, oversee and coordinate the management, development and expansion of our education and learning initiatives; including Eco-Schools Scotland. The ELC will manage existing initiatives with particular emphasis on Eco-Schools Scotland, linking initiatives to a whole school approach community approach to Learning for Sustainability and our teacher professional learning programmes.

Applications are sought from candidates who feel that they have the necessary experience and qualifications to undertake this role. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, candidates will have detailed understanding of education policy and practice (particularly Curriculum for Excellence and Learning for Sustainability). They will also have excellent people and project management skills, experience of working with schools and be adept at developing networks and working relationships. An understanding of the Scottish education sector and experience of successfully developing education initiatives and professional leaning programmes is also important.
