Keep Scotland Beautiful (KSB) is seeking to recruit a Sustainability and Climate Change Officer to work in its Sustainable Scotland Network team. Reporting to the Sustainability & Climate Change Manager, the Sustainability & Climate Change Officer will play a key role in developing and implementing SSN’s member support and capacity building services.

The role will involve developing and maintaining membership information systems, developing and running member events and producing resources to support SSN members. It will also include working with colleagues to analyse and present information on climate change and the work of public sector organisations, researching and analysing climate change policy, practice and reports relevant to public sector organisations.

Applications are sought from candidates who feel that they have the necessary experience and qualifications to undertake this role. The ideal candidate will have strong track record working on climate change issues, and developing and implementing capacity building and network/membership services and systems. Experience of producing professional capacity building services, including organising and facilitating events and producing resources, is essential. Knowledge and understanding of public sector organisations, or other large complex organisations, and an ability to work with a range of stakeholders, are central to the delivery of the post’s duties.
