Delivering vibrant and sustainable towns and public spaces
With 35 years’ experience in design, construction and maintenance of external infrastructure, Land Engineering has gained a reputation for its expertise in developing and delivering high quality town and civic space infrastructure.
The company is recognised as specialists in natural stone and pavement technology as well as being one of the country’s largest soft landscaping specialists: delivering high quality civic spaces that invigorate environments, increase footfall and bring value through life cycle performance and durability.
The company’s approach is to provide consultancy, scoping, designing and cost planning support for the needs, uses and budgets of each particular area of public space. The outcome is to realise value and develop the most cost effective and sustainable solutions for the delivery of regeneration, maintenance or improvement works.
What can Land Engineering offer for Towns and Communities
Land Engineering would like the opportunity to work with Town Centre managers to review any areas of concern within towns or public realm. As such, the company is offering to conduct a “street audit” on a sample area, following which their engineering expert will provide a report on appropriate solutions. This service is being offered to STP member organisations free of charge and at no obligation, as the company is committed to ensuring towns and city centres get the best value for their investment and believe this is best achieved through technical expertise at the front end of the process.
Benefits of such an approach include, but are not limited to, longer life performance and reduction in maintenance and repair costs.
Local Training and Employment Opportunities
Land Engineering has been a pioneer in developing training and employment programmes that deliver meaningful and sustainable opportunities for local people. It is the company’s commitment that local employment and economic regeneration are at the centre of all public sector improvement and maintenance works. Over the last 15 years the company has had an excellent track record of delivering long term opportunities to those facing most barriers to employment and is currently working with public sector partners to develop new models to meet the needs of communities today and for the future.
