Salix are offering new funding from the Scottish Government for Scottish public sector bodies to improve their energy efficiency, save on their energy bills and reduce their carbon emissions.
Since 2007, as part of the 100% interest-free Scotland Salix Energy Efficiency Loan Scheme, Salix has funded over £21.9 million in energy efficiency projects in Scotland, saving the public sector more than £74 million over the lifetime of these projects.
New funding is now available and Salix can offer further crucial interest-free capital finance to Scottish public sector bodies for over 120 types of energy efficiency technologies, ranging from boilers to LED lighting upgrades.
The deadline for funding is 31 March 2016, and funding will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Salix is accepting applications from all Scottish public sector bodies to finance one-off energy efficiency projects, as well as offering the opportunity to start a sustainable ring-fenced fund (Recycling Fund), with capital provided by Salix and matched by the public sector body.
Salix provides ongoing client support, technical assessments of projects and facilitates knowledge share and best practice between public sector organisations. There are no application fees to apply for these loans. Visit the Salix website for further information, and to apply.
