This all day event is about celebrating success and will include the announcement of the winners of the Scottish Empty Homes Champion of the Year Awards.
The 5th Annual Scottish Empty Homes Conference is taking place on the 17th November 2015 at the MacDonald Holyrood Hotel in Edinburgh. This all day event is about celebrating success and will include the announcement of the winners of the Scottish Empty Homes Champion of the Year Awards. The day is an opportunity to showcase best practice and new ideas, as well as further building relationships and links to bring more empty homes back in to use in Scotland. This year is an especially exciting one as the Scottish Empty Homes Partnership based at Shelter Scotland has expanded its core team and now have increased capacity to support more innovative projects and initiatives with councils and others.
Last year there was a strong thread through the conference emphasising the role of empty homes work in achieving town centre living aims. This continues to be a focus for the Partnership which will be reflected in the day’s agenda.
This year's conference is about increasing local effort and demonstrating local impact.
