Pioneering Scottish firms which are “not just surviving but thriving” in the pandemic feature in a new podcast launched by Zero Waste Scotland.
The Towards Zero podcast shares inspiring ideas and information from companies which ZWS are helping to do business differently to waste less and overcome both COVID and the climate crisis.
The first series includes an episode on the future of work and how the energy sector is changing.
Their first guests include Renewable Parts, which has been hiring new staff and moving to bigger premises in Argyll as it expands its business refurbishing wind turbines to be reused by the renewables industry.
Other guests include National Grid ESO, which is working with the wider energy sector to hire 400,000 new staff across the industry to create the ‘net zero workforce’ which the UK needs, including around 50,000 in Scotland.
The other two episodes in the first series look at the fascinating future of food, including insect farming, and innovations to make our homes more sustainable including a sofa designed to last a lifetime.
