Delivered in partnership with the TERU centre of the University of Glasgow, EDAS is running its Update on Policy and Practice in Economic Development Course (formerly, "Refresher Course") in Glasgow on Tuesday 7 June - venue TBC. If you are an individual or organisation interested in benefiting, there are currently limited places remaining.
In a fast changing landscape, this is a knowledge update for people with a good basis in local economic development, to cater for the changing economic and policy circumstances. The course addresses four key topics: Challenges Facing Scotland's Economy and Future Scenarios; Emerging Economic Policy in Scotland and the UK; Scotland's Businesses and Sectors; and Scotland's People.
£150 + VAT for EDAS members and £250 + VAT for non-members.
"The [formerly named] Refresher course in Economic Development provides a useful overview and update of current national and regional economic policy, with fresh analysis on the latest trends in the Scottish economy. It has provided useful context for the economic policy, intelligence work and briefings that Fife Council's Economic Advisors carry out."
Robin Presswood - Head of Economy, Planning and Employability at Fife Council, October 2015
