Could your staff/community/students reduce waste, help the environment and save money? Come along to hear about Zero Waste Scotland's initatives to help get your community engaged and taking action to reduce waste.
Our stakeholder events will give you the latest news on all our consumer campaigns covering re-use, recycling, food waste, deposit return and litter.
The event will primarily focus on Pass it on Week – our annual week celebrating all things re-use (swapping, borrowing, renting, second hand, donating and repairing). Pass it on Week will be held from 7-15 March 2020 and we’d encourage you all to get involved with promoting re-use whether it be by sharing our messages on social media, putting up posters or holding events such as swap shops, donation drives, table top sales or repair cafes.
The theme for 2020 will be “The Great Toy Rescue”, so we’re particularly interested to see anything that reduces the huge amount of toys wasted (but your events/promotions don’t have to be toy-related if that doesn’t suit your audience – we change the theme each year to encourage new interest in the campaign).
To find out more, there are two options;
- Tuesday 28th January 2020 – Stirling – from 10am-3pm.
- Friday 31st January 2020 – Webinar – from 10am-11am (a condensed version of Tuesday’s event).
Registration essential to secure your place. Please book by following the links on the events above.
Pass it on Week is part of Zero Waste Scotland’s Resource Efficient Circular Economy Accelerator Programme, which will invest £73m in circular economy and resource efficiency projects, thanks to support from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
